Anawangin and Capones Islands
Out we went for a roadtrip last weekend. 5 of us (Donits, Bin, Rish, Pogs & me) drove to Zambales on board Donits' Macchu Picchu. Me, Pogs and Donits started off at Makati, then picked up Bin and Rish and our lunch at Balintawak. We had 1 pit stop at Petron in NLEX then off we sped to SCTEX. Changed drivers there and off we go again to SBMA, then San Marcelino then San Antonio and then Pundaquit. We were excited (and worried) on our way there because we didn't have a place to stay. Luckily for us, Mama Tess (aka Tita Lover) had 1 vacant room for us at the Wild Rose Beach Inn at Pundaquit. Then off we went to ride a boat to Anawangin Island. It took us about 40 minutes of wavy boat ride to reach the blasted island. We spent a few hours there, basking the sun (under a tree hehehe) because the waves were quite strong and the beach is quite deep.We had lunch twice then off we went to Capones island via our most trusted mamang bangkero to have a final dip at the beaches. Beach at the Capones island were much better than Anawangin, but the waves were stronger. And its really gross to feel the seaweeds on your feet hehehe. So anyway, we spent the rest of the evening having a feast at a nearby restaurant Then played poker. Me, the first time player won! hahaha! So we slept the night away ni tired bliss looking forward to another wonderful day at Subic. Where we had a killer breakfastand shopping galore at the duty free shops in Subic then had another pit stop at NLEX for another round of Halo Halo Espesyal form Razon's. We went home sunburnt and tired, but we had fun and excitement. We look forward to our next tsonggos road trip, maybe next year. Dahikan Island
I will be posting here pictures of the Dahikan Island at Camarines Norte, Bicol. Great view, great water! The best one I've seen so far. The tsonggos syokoys would have loved this one.
Laiya
Swimming trip to Laiya with officemates. Great water, great company. 22 of us drove on a 4-car convoy from Manila to Laiya, Batangas for a great weekend trip.
Summer
April 2007 is a very enjoyable month indeed. My first vacation after years and years of slaving abroad. From Pogs' birthday bash last March, we started April's list of enjoyable things with the Christening of Andrew and Tin's son, Ethan. My favorite line: "Colonel Burger!" (This was Rumel shouting at the top of his lungs at a coffee shop in Pilar Village when we were playing Taboo. Correct answer was Colonel Sanders hehehehe) Then off we go for a send-off dinner for Kat on his trip to Paris, plus a few dirty confessions from Kat about her love life.. hehehe again. Me and Zoe went to Malolos Bulacan to swim (and burn hehehe) on a resort there with my husband and his relatives. I looooveeddd the food! And my back hurts like hell from sunburn. Me and my husband went on a nice outing on a resort at Laiya, Batangas. We don't know much of the people but what the heck. We enjoyed them. They're great people, fun and funny. I enjoyed the long drive, the convoy. It was tiring, but we were happy. I loved to corals and the fishes on the coast of Laiya. Not like those colorful ones we see on TV, but nice enough that I was happy to see a few pink, violet and white corals amidst the fishes swimming around. And then, off we go this weekend to Bicol. We plan to go to the islands to swim, and snorkel, and most likely, to burn. Again. I look forward to the tsonggos' outing. I am hoping to close this year's summer season with our Dos Palmas Trip. Minus the abu-sayaf. Minus the bangungot. hehehehe.
