of clips and robots

Out of mere boredom, my groupmates decided to make something out of paperclips and binder clips that we managed to collect after finally binding our official documents on a proper binder. Since we had nothing else interesting to do aside from filing documents and other boring stuff, my groupmates started to fool around with all the stuff scattered on a table and began making stuff. See them here if you're interested. There are a few pictures also uploaded in flickr. Check out the right side of this page for a peek.

Pilak Forever

I had dinner with high school friends Logi, Jen, Leah, & Aileen last night to celebrate Jen's passing the Physician Board Exam (check out the pictures!) and partially to celebrate Leah's and my birthday in advance. I wanted to meet them because I wanted to see how big Carla was since it is already her 8th month of pregnancy. As expected, she was huge! We talked about a lot of things, gossiped about our former classmates, what's been happening and stuff, chatting like schoolgirls in a busy restaurant during dinner. We had fun and time flied so fast, it was sad to say our goodbyes with each other..

We had plans to meet again.. all 6 of us: christine, jen, carla, leah, angeli and me, sometime next year. We will visit christine's hometown in Laoag, Ilocos NOrte and I will once again have a chance to visit pagudpud and Ilocos norte's tourist spots. I can't wait to see them and get together on an out of town trip next year!

I'm really, really glad we've kept in touch after all those long 10 years.

birds in the sky

I saw a flock of birds today. This morning on the skyline of manila. The birds were flying high up the cityland towers in Buendia cor. South Superhighway. The flock flying freely in the sky reminded me of something I felt when I was a kid. When I was little, during lazy afternoons, after taking a bath, I would go out, sit on our front door steps and stare up in the sky. Its a lazy afternoon so I have nobody to play with. I would look up in the sky and follow the birds flying around in the sky with my eyes. I just can't believe I suddenly remembered that time upon seeing those birds. It was a very, very long time ago. If I'm not mistaken, I may be 4 or 5 years old. I just can't help but smile because I really, really, really miss those days when I was just a child. Carefree and simple.

how the bulate came to be

once there was a guy(bert), a gay(pogs), & a girl(me), walking along alabang-zapote road at midday, chatting happily when suddenly, a topic about bearing children popped out of the gay's mouth. Topic suddenly evolved to how donits (another gay) wanted to have kids but do not want to get married. Pogs on the other hand, welcomed the idea as well. The girl realized that the only way for that to happen is to become a hermaphrodite, thus, based on the world book encyclopedia of science, a bulate. With the guy and gay's body figure perfect for a bulate, it is the most suitable adjective for them that was ever used in the face of the earth.

And that's how, my friends, how a bulate came to be.

rain

I had a peculiar good morning despite the heavy rains and thunderstorms this morning when I woke up. But now at 9:32PM, PST, my spirit is all damp and flushed down to the toilet. Even the rain is getting into my nerves. I have no appetite even if my stomach is violently kicking my nerves to send endless signal to my brain to let me know I should eat. All I feel is pain in the stomach, nothing else. I felt good this morning, now I felt like a big pan has been banged onto my head. I feel gloomy.. just like the weather.

happy birthday

It's my brother's 30th birthday today.. Happy Birthday kuya!

habit

I learned in one of the workshops I attended to last year that it takes 24 days to form a habit. For the past 5 weeks or so, we were forced to work overtime in a very hectic schedule to meet some blasted customer requirement. It was finally over last week and this week, we had nothing else to do but start on some training in preparation for the next tasks. And as a habit it became, I felt so strange not having so much work to do, with all my time to spare and I still get to go home not very early, but reasonably early. I felt so lost early this week that I felt sorry for myself. I really need to go out and enjoy!!!!

And its august.. I have so many things to celebrate on august that I should be out THERE, enjoying myself! Not bury myself into some work that's erasing all my facial laugh lines.

Superhero vs. Supermodels

I went to see Catwoman last night and unfortunately, it's like banging my head to a wall to inflict headache on myself. Cinematography was not so good, instead of showing interesting fight sequences, it was like riding the space mountain in Tokyo Disneyland WITH the lights ON! I was so dizzy and deaf with the overpitched bass sound of the background music that I couldn't wait for the movie to finish.. Catwoman's outfit was sexy though (I still don't know how on earth she managed to hide the whip on the superrr tight leather outfit), it might only look good on Halle Berry. And I think it was shallow for the movie to have a model as a villain (how did her face crack????)

Overall, the movie was soooo hyped up I was disappointed after seeing the movie.

Sorry for spoiling the movie if you haven't seen it yet. This is just me talking to myself.
